What is The Abby Grace Project?

As a way to  honor our Abigail Grace, we want to bless other families. Our Abigail Grace went to Heaven on October 5, 2011. In the five days she was alive, she impacted the lives of many, and she was a blessing to us all. This project came into fruition shortly after Abigail’s diagnosis in May of 2011 because Jo Anna and I decided we wanted to do something to honor our Abby girl. This project has become more than just that. It is a way for our Abby to continue impacting lives, just as she did while she was here on earth. Please take the time to read about the ways we have decided to do this and about how to donate.

A Gift for You

As a thank you for your generous donation, we would like to send you a bracelet with “The Abby Grace Project” name on it. You can choose to wear this or share it with others. When submitting your donation via our PayPal donation site, there will be a section where you can request the number of bracelets you wish to receive. If you are sending us a donation or did not specify that you wanted bracelets with your PayPal donation, you can also send us an email at theabbygraceproject@gmail.com with the number of bracelets you want and your address. If you have previously donated and have not received your bracelets, please send us an email with your information.

Jo Anna and I hope you consider donating to The Abby Grace Project. Our heart is to make a difference in people’s lives and for Abby Grace to be loved by all.

In God’s Love,

Jo Anna and Lyle Workman

Having witnessed firsthand the love and compassion that was lavished on us by the perinatal hospice team, I must say I am impressed! I am a labor and delivery nurse and have been present for the birth of many sick babies, some that never made it alive to their mothers arms. I have been in smaller hospitals, where I was not only nurse, but social worker, chaplain, and friend. Watching Lyle and JoAnna and baby Abigail Grace as they were touched by the hands of all the UTMB caregivers, made me realize that we really are the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you UTMB perinatal hospice team for serving and allowing Jesus to use you to bless our families lives. Praying that you will grow so that you can touch many more lives.
