Hi Friends and Family,
Lyle and I had such a sweet night on Halloween handing out candy. Seeing all those kiddos reminded us of Abby. She is our precious gift that we had for 5 days here on earth and that we will literally carry forever in our hearts. We thought that we would update everyone on the details for the balloon release and encourage anyone and everyone that would like to participate to do so. If you can’t actually be where we are, we ask that you would purchase a balloon, write a message to Abby and others who you have lost, and then take pictures or a video of your release so that we can put it in her scrapbook/post it on our blog. Jo Anna and Lyle, Every year on August 31, we go to California and have a balloon release with our Grandsons in celebration of our daughter’s ( my step-daughter) life. We lost her to asthma on August 3, 2005. This seems to make her boys feel a little closer to her, and it gives us all a chance to remember her life together. We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives, as we are all blessed to have had the chance to get to know your sweet Abby through your stories and photos.
