A Daddy’s Love

I love my baby girl. She is beautiful. I just cannot seem to get enough pictures with her. Or even enough time with her! She is just too precious, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her! Thanks to our Father God, I know that no matter the outcome of our baby girl, she will live in eternity in Heaven with our God. That makes me happy. That makes me smile.

So, as of today, we have said “Goodbye” nine times. Yes, nine. Our baby is a miracle baby. She stops breathing. She turns blue (I apologize for the graphic details). An hour later. She returns to her pink, cute self. Hmph…once again, hard to swallow. I hate it, but then again, it is a God thing. She is getting ready to see Jesus. Who knows, she may have already seen Jesus. That makes me jealous. And with each of these “Goodbye’s,” we have had the ability to process losing her. We are ready to hand her over to Jesus. We are ready for her to be one of God’s angels, and we love it. Yes, we prayed for that miracle, the one where she would be healed, but this was not part of God’s plan. God’s plan was for her to make a huge impact in this world in six short days. Wow! Could this daddy be any more proud! My baby is a life changer! She has lived her life fully for God; that was exactly my prayer. May my Abigail Grace be a life changer and live her life fully for God.

So, as you can tell, I love my baby girl. I couldn’t be prouder as a daddy, and to show this, I have put together a video of a few of my favorite pictures from these last few days. I hope you enjoy.

I pray that each of you that read this today are also choosing to live your life for Jesus. May you find yourselves wanting to be life changers, impacting thousands of lives around you. Our baby did in the few days she has been here on this earth. In fact, she impacted thousands before she was even born. Imagine what you could do with an entire lifetime!

In God’s Love,

Lyle

Beautiful slideshow, Lyle!!! It amazes me that through everything you guys are experiencing, you still have time to share this with us. We thank you!! We are blessed by Abby and by you & Jo’s story! Hugs.

  2. I so love your Abby Grace! Thank you for sharing your little “world changer” with me and so many others. There is a tuneless phrase that keeps running through my head, “God is good, God is good, God is good!” As I have been dealing with a little challenge in my life, feeling a bit mistreated and misunderstood, I suddenly thought about Abby and thought what a privilege it is for God to give me an opportunity to lean on Him more, love Him more, and grasp my need for Jesus just a little more. Thank you, Abby! Thank you, Lyle and Jo Anna for letting Abigail minister to me in this situation.

As heartbreaking as it is to hear your story, I love just as much hearing the love you have for your baby girl & your faith in God. I am praying for you & your precious little one. It is great that God gave you abundance with the days you have had with her, when all you asked for was 5 minutes. Thank you for sharing your sweet story. I just read the book today; “Heaven is Real”. I recommend it to any reading this blog. If you have not heard of it, it is the story of 4 year old when he spent a few minutes in Heaven before returning to Earth. God be with you.

Each one of us that have learned of Abby’s story (and yours, Lyle and joanna) have been changed in countless ways. God has used each of you to touch lives in positive ways for His glory, and hopefully and prayerfully we will never be the same. I know that God will carry you both, and your entire family through this time. Your lives will forever be influenced positively because of Abigail Grace, one of God’s sweetest little angels. Bless you all, and thank you for all that you have shared. Lee
